Hey cosmetology students!! We also accept applications from those attending cosmetology school (must have a valid cosmetology license to work as a hairstylist). As a stylist on the Drybar team, your role extends beyond delivering exceptional blowouts. We rely on all team members to contribute to the overall success, cleanliness, and efficiency of the shop. Key responsibilities include: Teamwork & Collaboration: Supporting fellow stylists and front desk staff to maintain a smooth, positive work environment.

Requirements

Valid California Cosmetology or Barber License (or currently in school and close to completion)
Proven experience in hair styling, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Knowledge of retail math for managing product sales is beneficial.
A current and valid cosmetology license for the state in which you are applying

Responsibilities

Provide professional hair styling services, including washing, blowdrying and stylist to clients.
Provide updos, braids, and extension services
Deliver exceptional guest experiences every shift
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations
Upsell additional services and retail products to enhance client experiences.
Stay updated on industry trends and techniques through continuous education.
Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations
Folding and restocking clean towels
Taking out trash as needed
Dusting surfaces and wiping down shelves, counters, and styling stations
Cleaning and sanitizing brushes and combs
Keeping the break room tidy and organized
Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with salon policies.
Refilling station drawers with tools and supplies
Helping to restock back bar products and retail inventory
