About The Position

The Cosmetic Receptionist / Call Center team member plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, professional, and seamless experience for cosmetic patients from their very first interaction with Tareen Dermatology. This position supports both the Cosmetic Call Center and front desk operations, ensuring reliable phone coverage, accurate scheduling, and exceptional customer service. The role is essential in supporting patient satisfaction, cosmetic revenue flow, and overall clinic efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing or customer experience role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort managing high call volumes in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Genuine interest in aesthetics, skincare, and/or dermatology

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in dermatology, cosmetic medicine, med spa, salon, or esthetic setting
  • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and payment processing
  • Familiarity with cosmetic services, memberships, or retail skincare

Responsibilities

  • Maintain consistent and reliable phone coverage for incoming patient calls
  • Schedule cosmetic consultations and treatment appointments
  • Answer patient questions related to cosmetic services, pricing, post-care instructions, and general practice information
  • Perform POS transactions, including checkout for products, services, and memberships
  • Enroll patients in cosmetic membership plans
  • Maintain basic knowledge of cosmetic services, products, and promotions
  • Greet and check in cosmetic patients, verify demographic information, and process copays or payment plans
  • File and manage patient documentation in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Cosmetic Department and estheticians
  • Assist with staffing cosmetic events (approximately one per quarter)
  • Support front desk operations as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
