The Washington Post is seeking a world-class journalist to serve as a Correspondent-at-Large, delivering authoritative reporting on the most consequential global stories. This is a high-profile role for an experienced and versatile reporter who can move quickly to the center of major geopolitical developments and produce agenda-setting journalism from the ground. The Correspondent-at-Large will operate as a roving presence across global hotspots — covering breaking news, producing sweeping analysis and delivering vivid, on-the-scene reporting that helps readers understand a rapidly shifting world. We are looking for a journalist with the experience, judgment and range to cover everything from elections and diplomatic negotiations to conflict zones, economic summits and major cultural moments. The ideal candidate combines deep reporting experience with a strong narrative voice, capable of delivering both high-level accountability reporting and immersive, scene-driven storytelling. This role will work across desks and coverage areas, partnering with correspondents, editors and visual teams around the world to produce journalism that is ambitious, insightful and globally resonant. This position is based out of our London office and requires frequent international travel.
