About The Position

Guidehouse supports the Office of Electricity (OE), managing the flow of critical correspondence and action items. As the key administrative and operational support, the role of Correspondence Consultant is central to ensuring timely and coordinated responses to internal and external inquiries, including those from the Executive Secretariat (EXECSEC). The Correspondence Administrator will utilize automated systems like eDOCS and SharePoint to track, route, and manage correspondence, ensuring all necessary concurrences are obtained from relevant DOE offices. This position directly supports the efficiency and responsiveness of OE's administrative operations. Manages Office of Electricity (OE) correspondence and Executive Secretariat (EXECSEC) action items. Utilizes tracking systems like eDOCS and SharePoint to log, route, track, and manage the workflow of controlled and non-controlled correspondence, ensuring timely responses and required concurrences from internal OE and external DOE offices. Provides operational support by assisting with the preparation of Congressional reports, drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and generating weekly status reports. Recommends and identifies opportunities to streamline procedures, capture performance metrics, and optimize operations related to correspondence, IT, recordkeeping, and other business functions to improve efficiency and identify potential cost savings. Beyond correspondence management, the Correspondence Administrator provides essential operational support to enhance the office's overall effectiveness. This includes: Assisting in the preparation of Congressional reports Drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Generating status reports on outstanding actions A key aspect of the role involves identifying opportunities to streamline business processes, capture performance metrics, and optimize operations to improve efficiency and identify potential cost savings. The work requires a strong knowledge of DOE administrative policies and procedures and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders to meet organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university
  • A minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience in supporting federal, state, or local programs
  • Strong knowledge of DOE administrative policies and procedures
  • Strong project management and stakeholder facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills
  • Experience in generating weekly status reports
  • Experience in providing operational support
  • Detail oriented, flexible, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks quickly to adapt to changing client priorities and respond to ad-hoc requests
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse
  • Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship restrictions apply
  • This in-person position role requires up to 5 days on-site at the Client's office
  • This in-person position is open to candidates who will reside within 50 miles of DC

Nice To Haves
