About The Position

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1. Acts as the responsibility centers’ point of contact for the Corrective Action Program (CAP) issues and implementation. This includes: Maintains a thorough working knowledge of the CAP process. Monitor the timely processing of condition reports, corrective actions, action reports, department actions and observations within their work group(s). Monitors CAP and Non-CAP indicators/metrics to provide timely and accurate reporting on work group CAP, Non-CAP, and Observation Status. Facilitates the Functional Unit to drive down any backlogs in CAP actions to ensure timely completion of all actions. Reviews all CR’s originated to facilitate classification and assignment by Screening. Performs administrative review of evaluations and responses to Corrective Actions for quality and adequacy. Facilitates acceptance of CR Action items from other work groups. Communicates changes to the CAP to ensure awareness and understanding by their associated responsibility center personnel. Attaining/maintaining qualification and serving as the Engineering department representative member of the Station Screening Team. Performing condition report evaluations and facilitate Quality Review Team(s) for review of CAP and Non-CAP products. 2. Acts as the responsibility centers’ point of contact for the Performance Improvement Program (PIC) issues and implementation. This includes: Analyze functional unit performance data and develop preliminary actions needed to close identified gaps to excellence. Perform Functional Unit Assessments and prepare the Functional Unit Excellence Plan. Develop and maintain Focused and Formal Benchmarking Self-Assessment plans for the associated work group. Performing periodic self-assessments and benchmarking. Creating and maintaining performance indicators related to assign performance improvement programs. 3. Acting as the work group’s OE Coordinator and/or HuP Advocate if assigned. 4. Plans and conducts specific technical assignments. Works alone or as part of a project team. Monitors job progress and ensures problems are being identified and resolved. Schedules work and resources to meet completion dates and technical requirements. 5. Works effectively in a team environment, both as a team leader and as a team member. 6. Understands and practices company safety and industrial hygiene policies; and has awareness of safety rules and environmental hazards with ability to take appropriate action to ensure safety to personnel, the public and environment. 7. Requirements

  • Requirements for Entry level CAP/PIC: 1. Associates/Bachelors/Masters degree and 0-3 years experience working in a Power Plant, OR 2. High School diploma and a minimum of 4 years experience working in a Power Plant.
  • Requirements for Associate Level CAP/PIC: 1. High School Diploma and 5 years’ experience working in a Power Plant, OR 2. Associates degree and 3 years’ experience working in a Power Plant, OR 3. BS degree and 2 years working in a Power Plant.
  • Requirements for Sr. Level CAP/PIC: 1. High School diploma and10 years’ experience working in a CAPCO/PIC role, OR 2. Associates degrees and 7 years’ experience working in a CAPCO/PIC role, OR 3. BS/MS degree and 5 years’ experience working in a CAPCO/PIC role

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science or technical field degree is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of all Susquehanna SES programs, job requirements, procedures, work activities, and plant systems
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written); ability to work well with personnel from other work groups and with experts from outside the company.
  • Ability to develop partnerships with line management that promote improvement.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with an ability to develop strategies or recommendations to improve performance.
