This position is responsible for training offenders in the safe, proper, and most efficient operation of equipment and practices utilized in a sewing manufacturing operation, while ensuring quality and quantity standards in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations. This employee will organize and direct work assignments of offenders and set up of equipment for processing of raw materials. The employee will prepare a variety of written reports involving subjects such as inventory levels, equipment specifications, offender incidents, incentive wage payroll and production schedules. The work environment may involve exposure to noise, dust fumes, dangerous machinery, chemical body fluids and fallen objects. This may require the use of personal protective equipment (such as ear plugs/muff, safety glasses, respirators, protective clothing, etc. and/or personal protective equipment used in sewing operation)
