The Corporate Weld Trainer will be responsible for performing both hands-on and classroom training of all welders; spanning the diversity of the entire product line. This person must create, develop, and maintain both technical presentations and the associated Welder Training Database. Specialty production welding and technical welding support to both Hose Master and outside distributors is expected. Additionally, this individual will provide support to the Weld Engineering Dept. on an as needed basis.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a scientific field prefered
  • Technical welding school
  • ASME Section IX certified welder
  • AWS CWI preferred
  • GTAW and GMAW specialists with carbon, stainless, and nickel based alloys
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient with blueprint reading and welding symbols
  • Familiar with welding specifications
  • Familiar with entire company product line
  • Understanding of standard tools, materials, and practices used within the welding industry
  • Manual arc welding specialist
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer savvy
  • Positive role model demonstrating safety, quality, and technique during instruction and execution
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Good hand and eye coordination.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, twist and kneel.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Create and administer instructional and hands-on training
  • Develop, maintain, and assist in revising all training documentation, records, training database, and procedures as needed to comply with changes to industry and customer requirements
  • Ensure weld processes and procedures are followed to regulatory, and customer standards
  • Enforce quality as a key element of customer satisfaction
  • Train employees on safety practices related to welding and ensure that all safety policies are followed
  • Support production welding and manufacturing as required
  • Evaluate and communicate results of distributor weld tests
