About The Position

As the Corporate Vice President, Integration Architect, you'll lead the design and implementation of enterprise integration strategies that connect applications, data, and systems across New York Life. You'll leverage your deep expertise in MuleSoft, SOA, and cloud integration to drive innovation, scalability, and reliability in our digital ecosystem. Acting as both a hands-on technologist and strategic partner, you'll ensure solutions align with business goals and enterprise architecture standards. You're a forward-thinking architect who thrives at the intersection of technology strategy and solution delivery. You combine deep technical knowledge with strong communication and leadership skills, ensuring complex systems work seamlessly together to drive business impact. You're curious, proactive, and skilled at simplifying complexity through clear design and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience architecting and designing enterprise software integrations.
  • Expertise in SOA, Web Services, Messaging (MQ), SOAP/WSDL, and REST/WADL.
  • 3+ years of hands-on MuleSoft ESB design and development experience.
  • Strong experience with distributed (Java/.NET) programming frameworks.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and support high-volume, mission-critical systems.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud integration services.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and Continuous Integration practices.
  • Knowledge of Life Insurance, Marketing, or Telemarketing systems.
  • Exposure to ACORD Life and Annuity XML standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead enterprise-wide integration solutions using MuleSoft ESB, SOA, and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders to architect scalable, secure, and efficient integrations.
  • Develop and maintain integration roadmaps, guiding evolution from current to target state.
  • Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and platforms to enhance integration capabilities.
  • Partner with development teams to ensure solution alignment, code quality, and adherence to architectural principles.
  • Support governance activities, documentation, and technology standards to promote consistency across systems.
  • Mentor team members, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
