Job Description The Corporate Trust Relationship Specialist 2 serves as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing day-to-day relationship support while overseeing complex deal administration for structured finance transactions (CLOs and specialized Middle Market loans). The Relationship Specialist partners closely with customers and internal teams to resolve issues, support business objectives, and deliver a level of service. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of experience in corporate trust and sales activities or related field

Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management & Business Development Retain and deepen existing customer relationships by delivering high-quality service and identifying opportunities for repeat and new business.
  • Act as the primary contact for assigned clients, responding to inquiries, questions, and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and execute a structured client calling program to support customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Partner with market influencers and new business development teams to support cross-selling and expansion of client relationships.
  • Deliver a level of service commensurate with client fee revenue to maximize profitability across a book of accounts.
  • Deal & Account Management Manage and operate approximately 30 active deals across three to four clients, serving as both senior and backup support for key relationships.
  • Oversee daily deal administration activities, including cash files, reporting, and client communications.
  • Ensure all client positions are accurately reflected in internal systems (e.g., CDO Suite), including trades, sales, commitments, and interest accruals.
  • Monitor and resolve portfolio breaks by reconciling asset positions between internal systems, clients, and agents.
  • Transaction Processing & Loan Administration Process and oversee fundings and wire transfers associated with assigned deals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage specialized loan features, including delayed draws and revolving loans, ensuring unfunded commitments are accurately tracked and updated as loans fund.
  • Validate that all asset commitments are 100% accurate, including ongoing monitoring of accruals and payment calculations.
  • Financial Oversight & Fee Management Prepare fee proposals using standard pricing models, with modifications for non-routine or unique responsibilities.
  • Monitor aged receivables reports to understand client receivable status and follow up on outstanding fees in excess of 60 days past due.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Training Partner with internal teams across operations, trust administration, and relationship management to resolve issues and ensure seamless client support.
  • Participate in both deal administration and relationship management activities, reflecting the hybrid nature of the role.
  • Provide job shadowing, training, and onboarding support for new team members, leveraging experience to promote team readiness and consistency.
