About The Position

As a key member of our Seafood & Fisheries Operations Team, the Corporate Travel Advisor will deliver comprehensive, accurate, and cost‑effective travel solutions for Direct Travel clients in the Alaskan seafood and fisheries sector, following company policies and leveraging corporate contracts and preferred suppliers. This is a remote position. Work schedule: This role is Thursday through Monday. Weekend coverage is core to the position; Tuesday and Wednesday are regular days off. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience providing domestic and international travel arrangements
  • Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of airline ticketing rules and regulations
  • High proficiency using Airline GDS, Apollo
  • Proficient in producing lowest logical airfare within client’s policy

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of travel industry experience
  • High proficiency using Airline GDS _ Sabre (preferred)
  • Knowledge of travel within the state of Alaska (a plus)
  • Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of airline ticketing rules and regulations
  • Proficient in producing lowest logical airfare within client’s policy
  • Understands international airfares and international ticketing
  • Proficient in Internet searches and online booking processes
  • Thorough working knowledge of exchanging, reissue of tickets
  • Must be able to thoroughly read, understand and follow client travel policies and guidelines
  • Thorough understanding of Reading each companies information and following guidelines of their policy
  • Previous experience handling VIP clientele
  • Excellent communication skills via email and phone
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Ability to meet and exceed required performance standards
  • Accurate and detail oriented
  • Work well under pressure and have the ability to deal with change and adversity
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Works well independently as well within a group

Responsibilities

  • Complete domestic and international travel arrangements (air, hotel, ground transportation, rail) for seafood and fisheries clients.
  • Support multiple accounts and traveler/arranger profiles with accuracy and urgency.
  • Operate within detailed procedures and provide first‑level support for customer service and basic technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with client travel policies while utilizing DT preferred vendors to maximize value.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally via phone and email, following DT customer service and escalation standards.
  • Follow company standards for procedures, tool utilization, productivity, accuracy, and attendance.
  • Attend staff and training meetings for ongoing updates.
  • Maintain strong working relationships across teams to foster a cooperative environment.
  • Anticipate and act on schedule changes common to coastal/remote markets; coordinate partner connections and resolve ticketing issues prior to departure.
  • Prioritize time‑sensitive crew movements and seasonal travel demands with proactive communication and problem‑solving.
