About The Position

The Corporate Technical Publications and Standards (CTPS) team is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented person to join as a specialist. The CTPS Specialist reports directly to the Manager CTPS and is responsible for formatting, converting, and the ongoing maintenance of Company operational documents owned by the following departments: Airport Operations, InFlight Operations, Flight Operations, Operational Control Center, Safety, and People.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
  • Familiar with or able to learn HTML-based programs and content management systems quickly
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Motivated to learn and manage the necessary software programs
  • Strong analytical skills (with the ability to quickly develop solutions to problems)
  • Exceptional understanding of the English language, including writing, grammar, and proofreading
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, or another related field (preferred)
  • Ability to multitask effectively and work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Ability to focus on multiple computer screens for long periods of time
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Work as a member of the CTPS team to prepare and revise various SkyWest operational documents
  • Collaborate with relevant subject matter experts (SMEs) to create a two-way understanding and transparency during the document change process
  • Ensure compliance with all CTPS formatting and publication standards with near 100% content and format accuracy
  • Condense or revising material into easily understood text
  • Adapt to immediate, high-priority requests based on given instructions
  • Effectively handle multiple, concurrent projects with inflexible deadlines, from planning through completion
  • Assist in the development and the growth of the CTPS team as a whole
  • Attend and complete all required job-related training
  • Complete other duties, as assigned
