As a Tax Intern within UnitedHealth Group, you will spend time on a variety of tax matters that make an impact and drive real value to the enterprise. You will have a chance to work to spend meaningful time working in and learning multiple areas of tax during your internship. Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent degree
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)

Nice To Haves

• Pursuing a Law degree, graduate tax degree or equivalent degree
• Proven solid computer literacy including proficiency with MS Excel
• Proven solid analytical skills
• Proven solid organizational and verbal/written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize assignments and manage workload while meeting deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work as an integral part of a team

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of income tax provisions for financial statements
• Assist in preparation of federal, state/local and international income tax returns
• Support tax controversy matters, including audits and notices
• Participate in tax planning, mergers & acquisitions, integrations, etc.
• Conduct tax research and draft supporting memorandums
• Work with technology that supports the tax function
• Assist with a variety of international tax and transfer pricing matters
