About The Position

Under the direction of the Corporate Support Services Manager, the Corporate Support Services Specialist will monitor and support key initiatives and metrics for Hawthorne. This role will provide operational support related to Sales and Product Support to ensure Hawthorne is successful in all relevant initiatives.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
  • Two to five years industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience and/or training in process improvement and project management.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with external and internal customers clearly and professionally, both in person and in writing.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to adapt to and work well with people at all levels and in a variety of situations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • DBS and/or AS400 experience preferred.
  • Product knowledge in Caterpillar and associated product lines preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support key initiatives for Hawthorne, including process improvement, project management responsibilities, and performing critical day-to-day operational tasks.
  • Communicate, set up, submit and track merchandising, sales and other Caterpillar programs and claims.
  • Administer Prioritized Service Events (PSE) and sales leads to maximize opportunities, participation, and wins.
  • Support Hawthorne’s Digital business as designated by the Corporate Support Services Manager, including key aspects of customer applications, connectivity, eCommerce, fleet management, onboarding, and reporting.
  • Track and report out progress on key Differentiated Dealer Capabilities for Construction Industries (CI) and Power & Energy (PE) to Sales & Product Support teams.
  • Measure POPS-C, POLS, and other key metrics to identify aftermarket opportunities.
  • Perform data administration and analysis, including data quality initiatives, CRM maintenance, inventory, sales coverage, and invoice history.
  • Work closely with Corporate Support Services Manager to improve performance on benchmark initiatives and programs of Product Support and Sales teams.
  • Support various special programs and promotions throughout the year.
  • Comply with all company, department, and Caterpillar policies and procedures.
  • Perform and support various other duties and projects as assigned to meet company, department, or individual goals and objectives.
