The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details. Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of business strategy and ensuring that results are effectively monitored. Includes the development and review of strategic, growth / diversification and financial business plans. Day-to-day focus is on resolution of problems or transactions, where expertise/experience is required to interpret policies, guidelines or processes. An individual at this level is expected to use independent thought to solve issues and work with supervisors or other experts to resolve more complex problems. Expected to maintain ownership of multiple processes, reports, procedures or products. This role is considered analytical, performing as a procedural expert representing a unit or team on cross-function processes and managing project deliverables. Expected to contribute to workflows, process changes and redesign, and to form a strong understanding of specific products and processes, while being accountable for regular reporting or process administration, with exposure across operations, IT, compliance and front office teams. Global Information Services (GIS) is responsible for supporting vendor systems and in-house developed GIS applications for all regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC and Tokyo). This role, within the GIS team, will have both business-as-usual tasks and project-related tasks focused on enhancing systems or troubleshooting problems as they arise.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of experience as Business/Data Analyst in financial industry – (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and prioritize tasks/projects
  • Experience working with developers as a business liaison
  • Flexibility to support calls with head office and other regions as needed
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or a closely-related discipline

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SQL, VBA (Macro scripting), Power BI skills - (preferred)
  • Experience using Salesforce - (preferred)
  • Banking or consultancy experience with extensive background in Microsoft Technologies, Project Management etc.
  • Understanding of corporate banking products such as credit loans, supply chain business, securitization, project finance etc. – (preferred)
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues using SQL - (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Help Global Information Services Data and Reporting team to implement strategic initiatives
  • Work closely with different stakeholders to maintain data integrity
  • Support day-to-day management of global data, working to resolve any issues with data loaders and transfer portals
  • Create ad-hoc reporting to support business partners
  • Ability to understand system functions and logic
  • Conduct business testing of applications
  • Mediate between IT and Business users for application bugs and new feature requirements
