About The Position

The Corporate Staff Accountant position reports to the Manager of Corporate Accounting and will be based out of our home office in Topeka, Kansas. We work a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
0–2 years of Staff Accounting experience
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of information processing systems
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Willingness to develop industry related knowledge
Able to effectively communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written form
Excellent time management and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently with general direction
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Word and Excel

Responsibilities

Review and input wires both timely and accurately
Prepare balance sheet and bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Analyze and prepare vouchers in PeopleSoft, both timely and accurately
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries to support various activities
Support and maintain a strong internal control environment and provide documentation as requested
Special projects and other duties as assigned
