About The Position

Red Wing Shoe Company is excited to announce our 2026 Internship Program! The program is designed to offer you meaningful work that will prepare you for your career. You'll get to see first-hand how our corporate teams develop strategies and practices that support our retail and manufacturing partners, and customers worldwide. Throughout the program, you'll collaborate with fellow interns and teams across the business, learn from mentors who are invested in your success, and take part in activities that strengthen our culture and support the communities we serve. This position will offer a hybrid work structure. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Red Wing, MN as there will be various on-site requirements throughout the summer. Standard work hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-1pm. Compensation is $25/hr. What to Expect: As a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Intern, you will explore how community giving, volunteering, and donation programs can become a visible, authentic part of the brand experience for consumers - whether they shop in a company-owned store, dealer-owned store, or online. You will audit current touchpoints, benchmark other brands, and research strategies to enhance community engagement initiatives. By understanding what motivates stores and identifying ways to make community impact simple, relevant, and rewarding, you will help strengthen the connection between our brand purpose and consumer experience.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, business, public relations, or corporate social responsibility
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in social impact, sustainability, and brand storytelling
  • Comfortable conducting research, synthesizing information, and presenting recommendations
  • Collaborative and curious

Responsibilities

  • Identify where and how Red Wing's community impact currently appears (stores, trucks, digital, social, packaging, etc.)
  • Conduct brief interviews with store associates, marketing, and e-commerce staff to understand current messaging and opportunities
  • Research how other purpose-driven brands showcase their social impact to customers
  • Create concepts or prototypes for how Red Wing could integrate community impact more visibly into customer experiences
  • Produce and present a summary of findings and recommendations to CSR and Marketing/Brand teams
