About The Position

Snowflake is experiencing exponential growth and we are expanding our social media team to help us scale. We are looking for a Social Media Manager to drive key programs in support of our corporate initiatives. This individual will be focused on driving Snowflake's employee advocacy program, managing our internal and external influencer efforts, and supporting the scale of our social efforts globally. This role demands an innovative self-starter, who is adept at running and sustaining social programs that will drive ongoing employee and influencer engagement at scale and with measurable impact. This person will work with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Partner Marketing, Developer Relations, HR and the broader Marketing and Global Communications, to create content engagement plans that reinforce Snowflake's key narratives and our core differentiators. Our ideal candidate is a dedicated team-player, who is proactive, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and workstreams to completion.

Requirements

  • 4-5+ years of experience in B2B technology social media, either in-house or with an agency
  • Clear expertise in running successfully employee advocacy and influencer programs, including how to negotiate contractual terms
  • Understanding of paid social and its role in influencer marketing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling social content worth sharing and engaging with
  • An experimental, test-and-learn orientation to create social success stories that will help drive greater investment
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships
  • Experience with employee advocacy and influencer management tools (i.e., Sprout Social, Sprinklr, CreatorIQ, etc.)
  • A ‘Roll Up Your Sleeves and Get It Done' attitude with a proven track record of managing multiple projects from strategy to execution
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, technical and analytical skills
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Execute a Robust Employee Advocacy Program
  • Guide the strategy and lead the execution of our employee advocacy efforts
  • Proactively source and create engaging content that helps elevate our brand awareness and drive social selling, including news & announcements, case studies, and thought leadership content
  • Collaborate with our regional peers to ensure we're continually curating content with the global audience in mind
  • Concept creative ways to increase company-wide adoption and sustain employee involvement
  • Partner with our cross-functional stakeholders to ensure we're developing clear content strategies that meet their key objectives and helps us collectively sustain a drumbeat on our core messages
  • Create a scalable process to introduce and onboard new employees to social advocacy
  • Advance Our Internal and External Influencer Program
  • Counsel and support the broader comms team on elevating our spokespeople's social presence
  • Activate our internal influencers around key Snowflake moments and partner with this passionate base to ensure reactive opportunities are done with brand safety and social best practices in mind
  • Lead and execute influencer engagements across the social team in support of key Snowflake narratives and moments, including events and announcements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including our developer relations team, to identify brand ambassadors and craft impactful, long-term engagement opportunities
  • Integrate influencer engagements into our paid social efforts to ensure we're effectively and efficiently getting the most out of the content
  • Own the Outcome
  • Set clear outcomes for the overall programs as well as campaign-based moments
  • Contribute to integrated plans, crafting the employee & influencer strategies and tactics, to fully round out social's overall contributions for announcements, events and more
  • Deliver insightful monthly, quarterly and campaign-based reports that demonstrate the programs' impact on the business and how we successfully delivered against our goals
  • Be a steward of the Snowflake brand, ensuring day-to-day program activities are reflective of social best practices and represent Snowflake well
