About The Position

This position is responsible for safeguarding healthcare executives, senior leadership, and caregivers at designated executive office buildings. This role demands professionalism, discretion, and rapid response capabilities to mitigate risks in dynamic environments. This role is an armed security position requiring applicable licenses and certifications required to carry a firearm.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License in state of practice.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in law enforcement, military or a related field.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to react quickly in high-stress situations.
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheet, web-based applications, risk assessment platforms/software.
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Obtain and maintain required licensing for private security officers within 3 months.
  • Obtain and maintain concealed carry permit within 3 months.
  • Obtain all other applicable licenses and certifications required to carry a firearm in this role
  • Must own or obtain approved firearm upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provides a safe and secure environment for caregivers at executive office buildings.
  • Responds quickly and appropriately to provide protection during threats or dangerous situations.
  • Accompanies executives to public events, meetings as needed.
  • Reports any security breaches or potential threats to the healthcare executive and security management immediately.
  • Assists with administrative and operational support to enhance executive privacy and convenience.
  • Provides recommendations to enhance protective services and security measures.
  • Conducts regular patrols of grounds and buildings to detect and deter suspicious activities.
  • Monitors security cameras and alarm systems to ensure the safety of the premises.
  • Controls access to sensitive areas ensuring only authorized personnel enter.
  • Verify the identification of visitors and staff to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Responds promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, taking appropriate action to manage the situation.
  • Provides emergency medical assistance and sustain care until professional responders arrive.
  • Documents all incidents and security breaches in detailed reports.
  • Maintains accurate logs of daily activities and any unusual occurrences.
  • Maintains and secure weapons used on the job, ensuring they are handled safely and responsibly.
  • Use weapons or security equipment when necessary to regain control of a situation.
  • Assists visitors with information and directions, providing a reassuring presence.
  • Interacts with staff and visitors with empathy and professionalism, especially in high-pressure situations.
