Responsibilities

  • Scheduling: In coordination with office staff, select, schedule, and coordinate caregivers based on care plan information for new and existing Clients. Facilitate the interview process for IHSS clients and caregivers
  • Review and understanding of Care Plans to be able to communicate effectively to potential caregiver’s requirements needed for position. Recognizing training gaps and providing direction to training materials to ensure client and caregiver safety
  • Assure Timely Coverage: Maintain all scheduling of caregivers and respond to situations where scheduling conflicts, emergencies and/or “call outs” arise, including caregivers who do not clock in on a timely basis. Caregiver schedule must be complete for the next business day/weekend before leaving each day
  • In addition to agency assignment, participate in daily virtual Scheduler meeting. Work with other schedulers to ensure all agencies have adequate coverage
  • Ensure compliance with EVV (Electronic Visit Verification) regulation by updating schedules/visit for Non-Exempt Caregivers on a “real time” basis
  • On-Call: Accept on-call duty as assigned by the Area Administrator
  • Time Sheets: In conjunction with the office Agency Manager and Validation specialist, review any timesheet issues for resolution in a timely and efficient manner
  • Client/Consumer Satisfaction: Document and respond promptly to any client or staff complaints, and review complaints with the Agency Manager
  • Scheduler will be responsible for scheduling, conducting, and/or participating in Agency Scheduling meetings
  • Monthly Caregiver Check-in Calls
  • Maintains caregiver listing with notes pertaining to scheduling
  • Manage Drive Time Reporting for assigned agency
  • Cross Train: Cross train to learn specified responsibilities of other team member positions as directed by the Area Administrator or designate
  • Miscellaneous: Perform other functions as directed by the Area Administrator
