In this pivotal role, you’ll lead investigations, champion process improvements, and collaborate across departments to ensure our commitment to ethical excellence. Enhances overall financial performance by reviewing all assigned government audit denials and determining appropriate follow-up actions. Appeals denials which are found to be unsubstantiated through review of the medical record and/or billing information. Tracks assigned cases and enters data of audit related information into web-based audit tracking tool. Supports staff education, quality improvement, policy development, and overall improvement of financial performance. Supports and guides in the development and enhancement of an organized system to monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality and best practice methodology related to the corporate compliance program. Ensures that commitment to the compliance program is communicated and ensures the program’s effectiveness. Assists in meeting appropriate regulatory standards related to billing, reimbursement and third-party contractual arrangements. Ensures that employees (including physicians) comply with policies, third party requirements and federal regulations. Provides leadership in process improvement and collaborative strategies with others as well as creative approaches to complex situations.
