About The Position

Atlanta Mission is a faith-based nonprofit serving Atlanta’s most vulnerable neighbors through shelter, recovery, and workforce development. We believe in dignity, accountability, and transformation. The Corporate Relations Intern will help strengthen employer partnerships that create pathways to meaningful, dignifying work for the men and women we serve. By supporting the Next Steps Job Fair and engaging local employers, the intern directly contributes to clients experiencing Christ-centered hope, stability, and long-term transformation through sustainable employment.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence engaging corporate partners, HR teams, and community stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates healthy curiosity with a willingness to ask thoughtful questions, gather information, and understand employer needs and workforce trends.
  • Ability to conduct research on companies, industries, and job pathways and synthesize findings clearly.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage follow-up tasks, outreach tracking, and multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable participating in meetings, events, and professional conversations with corporate leaders.
  • Interest in corporate social responsibility, workforce development, or nonprofit partnerships.
  • Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, sitting and/or walking)
  • Must have the ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20lbs

Responsibilities

  • Support the Corporate Relations team in cultivating and strengthening employer partnerships for the Next Steps program.
  • Shadow Serve & Learn volunteer events to understand Atlanta Mission’s corporate engagement approach.
  • Attend meetings with CSR and HR leaders to observe partnership conversations and engagement strategies.
  • Conduct employer prospect research and build targeted outreach lists for the Next Steps Job Fair.
  • Draft and send outreach communications, track responses, and coordinate follow-up with employer partners.
  • Assist in planning the employer experience for the job fair, including logistics, materials, and day-of coordination needs.
  • Compile employer insights, industry trends, and feedback to inform recruitment strategies and event design.
  • Prepare reports summarizing outreach progress, industries represented, and employer alignment with Next Steps job pathways.
