About The Position
We are seeking a Public Relations (PR) and Corporate Marketing intern, who is full of creative ideas and eager to contribute to a broad range of media relations and marketing projects and initiatives. The intern will gain visibility into the inner workings and aspects of the public relations and marketing fields, provide concrete deliverables, and learn from a diverse set of colleagues. In this role, you will be working closely with the PR, Marketing, and Government Relations (GR) teams and also be working closely with staff from other departments. Please note this position is hybrid requiring the intern to reside within commutable distance of our McLean, Virginia Headquarters office. To be a successful PR and Marketing intern, applicants should enjoy working on projects requiring creativity and outside of the box thinking and be a confident public speaker and independent worker with strong writing, research, and communications skills. Ultimately, an outstanding PR and Marketing intern should be able to help us look for ways to tell our company's narrative and maintain and boost Maximus' corporate reputation. Additionally, the selected intern will gain knowledge of general business principles, corporate organizational structure and government process improvement. Throughout the summer, you will have the opportunity to meet, interact, and collaborate among various project teams, consultants, senior management, executives and peers. Guidance and training on operations standards and protocols will be provided by the Manager.
