Corporate Planning Manager Role Overview The Corporate Planning Manager provides leadership, control, oversight, and analysis of all aspects of trade promotion and brand company funding programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent required.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in finance and/or accounting required.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Must have superior analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work within cross-functional teams.
  • Must have advanced Excel/financial modeling skills and familiarity with sales reporting and accounting systems.
  • Must be able to effectively manage, manipulate, and analyze large volumes of data.
  • Must be highly detailed-oriented, comfortable with complexity, and able to manage multiple tasks and assignments.
  • Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SAP a plus.
  • Consumer products/beverage industry experience highly desirable.
  • Experience in Trade Promotion Management a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the entire scope of trade promotions and brand company funding, including planning and forecasting, accruals, reconciliations, brand partner submissions and receivables, customer payment approvals and payables, and contract administration.
  • Champions ongoing process improvements.
  • Manages and maintains a trade promotion and brand company funding contracts database.
  • Manages data and reporting in the Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system; collaborates with sales, marketing, and accounting to ensure accuracy of data and reporting.
  • Reconciles trade promotions and brand company funding with promotional agreements and contracts, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with guidelines and standards.
  • Monitors the approval process for trade promotion payments and funding submissions and ensures processing deadlines are met.
  • Manages period-end close accrual process.
  • Reconciles in detail the accrual balance sheets and provides periodic reconciliation reports identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Provides information on trade promotion and brand company funding processes and data to facilitate internal and external audits.
  • Supervises, trains, and develops Corporate Analysts.
