Program Details Duration: 10-week internship from May 18 – July 24, 2026 Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) Work Environment: Hybrid – remote work from the state of North Carolina with onsite events at our Durham campus Residency Requirement: Interns must reside in the state of North Carolina for the duration of the program Experience: Hands-on project work that supports our customers and strengthens communities across North Carolina Mentorship: Interns are paired with a mentor and receive regular feedback to support their development What You’ll Do Join our Pharmacy Professional Engagement and Quality team, which collaborates with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes. Through strategic meetings and actionable insights, we advance quality measures and cost-saving initiatives, enabling pharmacists to practice at the top of their profession. As a Pharmacy Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience by:

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in your second or third year of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) -approved Doctor of Pharmacy program as of May 2025.
  • Strong curiosity, drive, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent time management and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Actively participating in Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) meetings, reviewing specialty clinical programs and pharmacy claims reports.
  • Supporting community pharmacy partnerships to deliver actionable results.
  • Assisting with pharmacy operations and prior authorization criteria review.
  • Making meaningful contributions that drive better health outcomes.
