Requirements

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • You bring 5+ years of payroll experience, preferably in hospitality environment
  • You have strong, hands-on experience with payroll tax compliance, filings, and issue resolution
  • You have hands-on experience with payroll systems (Dayforce strongly preferred)
  • You’re highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large, complex datasets
  • You have a sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • You can manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • You communicate effectively and build strong cross-functional relationships
  • You’re organized, process-driven, and continuously look for ways to improve efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Owning end-to-end payroll processing for curators across multiple locations and pay groups
  • Ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution, including regular, bonus, and off-cycle runs
  • Managing payroll tax compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions
  • Reconciling payroll to the general ledger and ensuring accurate financial reporting
  • Identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies, including overpayments and missed pay
  • Managing payroll system (Dayforce) and optimizing configurations for efficiency
  • Leading payroll audits, tax filings, and year-end processes (W-2s, amendments, etc.)
  • Partnering with HR and Finance to ensure alignment on pay practices, benefits, and GL reporting
  • Improving payroll processes, controls, and documentation to reduce errors and risk
  • Managing garnishments, tax notices, and agency inquiries with accuracy and urgency
  • Supporting system implementations, upgrades, and integrations
  • Responding to curator and leadership payroll inquiries with clarity and professionalism
