About The Position

Barnes & Thornburg LLP is seeking a highly organized and motivated Corporate Paralegal to join our Ann Arbor office. This full‑time position offers exceptional training and hands-on experience with sophisticated aviation and corporate transactional matters within a fast-paced Am Law 100 firm. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, proactive, and eager to support attorneys working on a broad range of business transactions, including aircraft acquisitions, sales, financings, leasing, and related regulatory and corporate matters. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a highly regarded academic institution
  • Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated work ethic
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with legal document management systems
  • Prior legal internship or relevant paralegal or administrative experience required

Nice To Haves

  • experience with aviation matters is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the formation and maintenance of legal entities, including aviation-related ownership structures
  • Conduct preliminary legal and business research on corporate, aviation, regulatory, tax, and procedural matters
  • Prepare, review, and manage transactional documents, including aviation purchase agreements, bills of sale, leases, and ancillary closing deliverables
  • Coordinate all aspects of transaction closings including execution packages, signature management, and closing logistics
  • Prepare and manage FAA filings, UCC filings, and other post-closing documentation
  • Maintain organized records of ongoing and completed transactions
  • Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, escrow agents, lenders, and other stakeholders
  • Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned
