As a Corporate Paralegal you will provide administrative and basic legal support to attorneys, paralegals and other members of the Subsidiary Management Team in the Corporate Legal Group in Legal Affairs at Microsoft. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree OR Paralegal Certification that meets the requirements for the location of work OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to think and analyze legal documents
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information appropriately
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately, meet demanding deadlines and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree. OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in a technology industry environment.
  • Experience with drafting contracts preferred

Responsibilities

  • Draft, proofread, edit, finalize, and organize the proper execution of correspondence and routine corporate compliance documentation such as board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, corporate certificates, and powers of attorney.
  • Provide initial and follow up responses to clients on email inquiries with regard to Microsoft’s worldwide subsidiary corporate compliance.
  • Investigate and recognize potentially complex or higher-level legal issues and involve a paralegal or attorney to address them.
  • Handle projects and other assignments from attorneys or paralegals as needed.
  • Interface for records management of local files with CELA Records Management in Redmond, WA, including creating, maintaining, tracking, retrieving, and routing legal files.
  • Maintain database for Microsoft’s worldwide corporate structure.
