About The Position

The Corporate Manufcaturing Senior Quality Manager is the primary Quality interface among Customers, Engineering, Program Management, Suppliers, and Plant teams for multiple facilities. The role drives audit readiness, APQP/LPMP execution, pre‑production and launch excellence, and continuous improvement/read‑across to protect customer satisfaction and elevate regional plant performance. The Role: Customer & Audit Leadership Serve as the customer quality point of contact; ensure audit readiness and compliance to customer-specific and internal requirements across supported facilities. Monitor customer scorecards/KPIs and lead corrective and preventive actions with plants and programs. Facilitate clear communication between customers and internal stakeholders (Engineering, Program, Plant Quality, and suppliers). APQP / Launch Execution Lead pre‑production and launch quality activities, ensuring APQP/LPMP deliverables are met on time and to standard. Coordinate plant/program readiness for build events; track issues, containments, and craftsmanship/appearance findings and drive closure. Ensure design/manufacturing issues are documented at feasible levels and read across to applicable programs/facilities. Continuous Improvement Conduct post‑launch lessons learned; verify effective read‑across of launch, warranty, and customer lessons to future programs. Drive quality roadmaps and improvement projects; track actions to sustained closure. Regional Plant Support & Leadership Coach and develop plant Quality/APQP engineers (including IMDS timing/escalations as needed). Partner with global/internal quality teams to align standards and share best practices. Exercise authority to stop process or shipment for nonconformance, safety, or customer risk; lead structured problem solving (e.g., 8D).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical field.
  • 7+ years in manufacturing Quality and/or launch environments, including customer-facing experience.
  • Proficiency with quality systems and tools: APQP, LPMP/Profile, Control Plans, FMEA, MSA, PPAP, SPC, 8D.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross‑functional influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple programs/plants with disciplined follow‑through and time management.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, based on plant/customer/launch needs.

Nice To Haves

  • APQP/PPAP certifications; prior new program launch experience.
  • Familiarity with customer APQP requirements.
  • Experience supporting multi‑facility or global customer footprints.
