About The Position

The Manager of Corporate Investments reports to the Director of Investments and Trusts and is an integral member of an investment team that oversees and manages $15 billion of employee benefit plan and corporate assets. The position is responsible for developing and recommending investment strategies for benefit plan and corporate assets; sourcing, evaluating and monitoring investment managers and portfolio performance; administering and directing investment and trust activities; and supporting regulatory compliance and reporting requirements. Initial portfolio assignment entails asset classes within the defined benefit plan return-seeking portfolio, with rotational opportunities to other defined benefit asset classes and investment programs, both return-seeking and liability hedging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master’s Degree and 6 years of relevant experience
  • US Citizenship Required for this Position: Yes

Nice To Haves

  • BA in Business Administration, Finance or Economics
  • MBA, CFA or related certification preferred.
  • Additional qualifications include experience with all types of asset classes and investments, managing large multi-manager investment portfolios, liability-driven investing, and trust administration.
  • Strong managerial, analytical and administrative abilities are necessary, along with well-developed team collaboration, communication, presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and analyzes economic and global market developments and trends in order to develop and evaluate current, near-term and long-term investment strategies
  • Researches, evaluates and recommends potential investment strategies and managers in accordance with investment policies and objectives
  • Develops, constructs and implements investment portfolios consistent with policy guidelines, return objectives, risk targets and benchmark performance
  • Interacts and communicates with investment managers on periodic performance reviews, strategy implementation, portfolio positioning and compliance matters
  • Collaborates with Director of Investments and other Managers of Corporate Investments to establish strategic asset allocation and liability-driven investment objectives, and to manage liquidity requirements
  • Administers day-to-day activities and transactions related to trust and investment operations, including funding transfers, contributions, expense disbursements and benefit payments
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, investment policy and guidelines, and company policies and procedures
  • Prepares reports, analyses and presentations for the Investment Committee and executive management
  • Supports compliance reviews, internal and external audits, reporting requirements, corporate planning, and business analyses, as needed.
