The role will be responsible for the management of logistics of ALL deliveries made VIA McCann’s owned/leased delivery vehicles. Further, this role will be responsible for communication with drivers, department and branch management, sales, sales support, and customers regarding truck deliveries and pick-ups. This role is expected to assume the responsibilities for establishing and managing 3rd party carriers as a means of complementing our delivery service and drive added savings on both the incoming and outgoing logistics at McCann. Goals will be aligned to reduce cost per shipment and overall freight and shipping expenditures. If these qualities sound like you, we would like to talk with you! Working Environment: Office. Occasional visits to retail showrooms, warehouses, and yards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree OR three+ years related experience and/or training; analytical and interpretive skills; refined verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to problem solve and address a variety of issues.

Responsibilities

Safety & Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks within the delivery of product VIA Our Trucks. Ensuring adherence to company policy and procedure. Ensures all routing and delivery of products/equipment are safe for all employees, customers and visitors. Ensures all compliance items are always inspected and compliant.
Profit and Financial Performance: Responsible for the profitability and financial performance of McCann’s logistical needs. Achieve expense goals based on current budget; Review financial results with team/management. Partner with leadership to make proper adjustments to staff, processes, and assets to meet these goals.
Team Management: Hiring, training and supervising direct reports, conducting employee performance evaluations, addressing employee concerns and motivating team members to achieve goals.
Customer Service: Ensure high quality customer service standards are maintained. Ensure delivery trucks are clean and organized and deliveries meet what was communicated to them regarding our abilities to serve. Resolve customer complaints and build customer loyalty through applying win-win solutions.
Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations and track key performance indicators (KPI) related to those areas of responsibility, including deliveries per driver per day, deliveries per truck per day, cost of delivery, etc.
