We are seeking a skilled and highly experienced Finance Manager who will be leading budget for Technology group and be finance partner to CIO supporting financial planning & analysis, reporting, development of sophisticated and professional presentations for the Technology Leadership Team including the CIO. The incumbent will build sophisticated monthly Outlooks (Forecast) for their area of responsibility evaluating and predicting IT program spending and return. Responsible for measurement, planning, and forecasting of technology activities and implications to income statement and balance sheet. Resource will support reviewing business cases, informing entries for Software Cap and other PPE CapEx projects, therefore CPA is a plus. The successful applicant will bring both technical and soft skills, will have strong technical accounting skills and/or a finance background, and a demonstrated ability to build and train global teams and communicate with executives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent work experience required
  • 5+ years Team Leader/Managerial experience; ability to lead and coach a team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, define R&R’s, and manage performance
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to present to a diverse audience (business, technical, and leadership) and clearly communicate across diverse cultures and time zones.
  • Process orientated individual with track record of simplification
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications -- Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word

Nice To Haves

  • Strong FP&A skills
  • CPA Preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion, Anaplan, Essbase, Workday and/or Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead consolidation of the CIO Office Actuals / Outlook (Forecast).
  • Provide excellent financial decision support to executive level leadership.
  • Execute month-end activities including variance to forecast analysis, posting accruals and intercompany charges and amortization of prepaids.
  • Advise department heads to help manage expenses, identify key cost drivers and problem areas, and provide ad hoc support as required.
  • Lead management presentations for Quarterly Business Reviews Work Environment.
  • Partner with Finance organization, portfolio leaders and business owners to develop and continuously improve financial management and planning processes for the IT organization.
  • Engage directly with C-Suite executives through high-impact presentations, ensuring timely communication and responsiveness in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
  • Display a positive attitude and be a productive member of the FP&A team.
  • Appropriately challenge spend where necessary, ensuring that NCR’s resources are optimized and maximized for the company.
  • Drive your team, working closely with supported functions to develop and consolidate the annual plan/budget.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts that are typically highly complex, including monthly/quarterly forecasts, midyear business reviews and annual budgets.
  • Ensure proper accounting between NCR organizations, and alignment of NCR spend to proper P&L and/or balance sheet accounts. Includes monitoring of actuals and purchase order issuance, adjusting as needed
  • Liaise with Procurement and IT Operations to ensure suppliers receive purchase orders in alignment with business commitments and timing
  • Consistently look at process and identify opportunities for improvement/streamlining.
  • Review and provide feedback on capital requests for supported Infrastructure groups as needed.
  • Complete all assigned account reconciliations in a timely manner to ensure compliance with policies and procedures and US GAAP.
  • Identify and execute action items to resolve reconciliation variances in a timely matter.
  • Ensure complete and accurate financial processing is performed; identify and analyze potential financial issues / risks.
  • Maintain quarterly SOX compliance.
  • Maintain communication and relationships with internal customers.
  • Provide in-depth analytical support and analysis for budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Design, prepare and interpret forward looking business/financial models and other special projects as needed.
