About The Position

DACUT is seeking an experienced Corporate Inventory Director – Retail to lead, standardize, and optimize inventory operations across our retail dispensary network. This senior-level role owns retail inventory strategy and execution at the corporate level, ensuring accuracy, compliance, FIFO adherence, and data-driven decision-making across multiple locations. The Inventory Director will partner closely with executive leadership, retail operations, compliance, cultivation, and processing teams to reduce shrink, improve product flow, and create scalable inventory systems that support DACUT’s continued growth.

Requirements

5+ years of inventory management or supply chain experience, with multi-site retail operations preferred
Proven leadership experience managing inventory at a corporate or regional level
Strong expertise in FIFO inventory methodology and retail inventory best practices
Advanced proficiency in inventory systems, spreadsheets, and data analysis (Excel/Google Sheets required)
Demonstrated success reducing shrink and improving inventory accuracy
Experience performing and leading physical inventories, audits, and reconciliations
Strong cross-functional communication skills with leadership and store-level teams
Willingness and ability to travel regularly between Michigan retail locations

Nice To Haves

Cannabis retail experience with hands-on METRC knowledge
Experience supporting vertically integrated cannabis operations
Background in retail compliance, loss prevention, or inventory controls
Strong presentation and executive reporting skills
Experience building or scaling inventory SOPs across multiple locations

Responsibilities

Own and oversee corporate retail inventory strategy across all DACUT dispensary locations
Establish, enforce, and audit FIFO (First-In, First-Out) compliance across all retail operations
Lead and conduct regular on-site retail inventory audits, reconciliations, and variance investigations
Analyze inventory data to identify shrink, inefficiencies, sales-to-inventory misalignment, and operational gaps
Develop and present inventory performance reporting, KPIs, and insights to executive leadership
Partner with Retail Directors, Store Managers, and Operations Leadership to implement corrective actions and SOP improvements
Oversee METRC accuracy for all retail inventory movements, transfers, adjustments, and compliance requirements
Drive inventory forecasting, replenishment planning, product flow, and inter-store transfers
Ensure accurate receiving, storage, cycle counts, and physical counts at all retail locations
Act as the primary point of accountability for retail inventory accuracy, integrity, and compliance company-wide
Support new store openings, system rollouts, and process standardization initiatives
