About The Position

Conduct assurance testing, training, and subsequent testing of property level and corporate office processes based on White Lodging documented standard operating procedures, SSAE control objectives, internal control concepts, and GAAP. The Corporate Internal Auditor reports to the Senior Director of Internal Control.

Requirements

• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to be objective and convey appropriate concerns detected on audits
• Strong Analytical/Technical Skills
• Strong skills with all Microsoft Office products and other computer applications
• Ability to appropriate questions and proactively seek answers/solutions.
• Ability to participate in and or create audit programs.
• Ability to collaborate with Senior Director in aspects of the role.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration or Hospitality Management is highly preferred. Relevant work experience will be given consideration in lieu of the education requirements.
• 1-year professional work experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete preparatory work in conjunction with assigned assurance, training, and/or subsequent testing in accordance with White Lodging Internal Audit standards.
• Ability to travel to locations managed by White Lodging Services. Travel may exceed 35%. Some testing may be conducted remotely where practical and required.
• Conduct assurance testing of internal control processes at White Lodging managed properties as assigned.
• Document all testing in accordance with White Lodging Internal Audit Standards and programs.
• Recommend corrective action based on White Lodging Standard Operating Procedures.
• Discuss audit deficiencies with White Lodging Property Level managers.
• Prepare and distribute audit reports in accordance with White Lodging Internal Audit Standards.
• Special Projects as assigned
