About The Position

Atlantic Union’s Summer Internship Program is a professional development opportunity designed to give local students practical work experience and help prepare them for careers in the financial services industry. Participants build professional networks and receive training and mentoring throughout the program. The Business Transformation Office Intern position is designed to introduce college students to project management in a real‑world environment. Our intent is to provide meaningful assignments that stretch the Intern, build valuable experience, and enable the Intern to contribute directly to the Enterprise Services Department. Position Accountabilities The Intern will be provided assignments that contribute to multiple enterprise projects, from system implementation to project initiation and planning. The Intern will also get the opportunity to: Support the implementation and testing of a new project and portfolio management (PPM) tool, including hands‑on system validation, data checks, and feedback collection. Assist with final preparation, rollout, and user readiness activities for an enterprise-wide project, such as documentation updates, training materials, and deployment coordination. Contribute to the initiation and planning of a new enterprise project , including research, requirements gathering, meeting support, and early project documentation. Help maintain project artifacts and reporting , ensuring accuracy across timelines, risks, issues, and status updates. Participate in cross‑functional meetings , capturing notes, tracking follow‑ups, and supporting collaboration across teams. Perform administrative and analytical tasks that enable smooth execution of project activities and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Currently pursuing a business‑focused degree (Business Administration, Management, Organizational Leadership, Operations Leadership) or a technology/engineering‑related degree.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university is required, and Students must be undergraduates entering their junior or senior year or currently pursuing a graduate level degree.
  • Must be available to work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday.
  • Must submit a resume and cover letter highlighting accomplishments, professional and academic goals, and expectations of this internship position.
  • Submission of transcripts and two professional or academic references.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to function effectively with indirect supervision.
