About The Position

Kanbe’s Markets is a quickly-growing 501(c)3 fighting food insecurity and mitigating large-scale food waste by rescuing perfectly good food that would be headed to the landfill, and redirecting it into low-access communities through partnerships with over 100+ local small food retailers and 52+ community organizations. In just nine years, Kanbe’s has redirected $4.4 million dollars worth of food that would otherwise be wasted, reinvested over $260,000 back into the local community through its unique revenue-sharing model, today serving approximately 250,000 Kansas Citians with fresh food access. Corporate partnership plays a unique and vital role in the expansion of Kanbe’s mission, operating at the intersection between grants, sponsorship, individual fundraising objectives, and volunteerism. As Kanbe’s continues to grow its operational efforts and impact, increasing its redirected produce volume from 1.25 million pounds in 2025 to 3 million pounds in 2026, it is looking for a motivated and energetic individual to lead its corporate development efforts, and be responsible for attaining a $500,000 annual fundraising target in 2026. As Corporate Impact Manager, you will be to be responsible for: leading and deepening relationships with existing corporate partners; expanding our corporate prospect list and designing a systematic approach to personalizing outreach to new contacts; creating a clear channel for onboarding corporate volunteers into our fundraising pipeline and engaging with these individuals on a routine basis; managing the design and implementation of strategic communication materials and that Kanbe’s can use for corporate donor education and welcome events; and leading all corporate-facing event strategy execution, including golf and sporting events, and securing sponsorships from corporate partners for fundraising events throughout the year. This role is based in Kansas City, MO and is part of the Kanbe’s Development team, reporting to the Director of Strategic Development.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in a process-driven, revenue earning role (Fundraising, Sales, and/or Business Development).
  • Understands the fundamentals of running a successful relationship pipeline.
  • Experience managing CRM systems (such as Hubspot).
  • Passion for creating and curating meaningful engagements and experiences for people and corporate audiences.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced workplace and managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
