Requirements

  • Associate degree in human resources or business administration 
  • Minimum of one (1) year human resources administrative experience 
  • Administrative knowledge and experience in human resource tasks including but not limited to record keeping, job descriptions, job postings, phone screen interviews, reference checking, offer letters, new hire orientation, recognition programs, employee communications and event support 
  • Proficient in HR information systems, preferably ADP 
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine HR audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency across records and processes.
  • Maintain and update HR documents, spreadsheets, and internal records to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
  • Support HR reporting initiatives and assist with data cleanup across HR systems and files.
  • Create and maintain organized documentation, trackers, and process guides to support HR operations.
  • Provide administrative support for HR tasks and day-to-day operational needs.
  • Coordinate new user setup and communicate new hire and separation details to appropriate departments.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation activities, including new hire setup and preparation of materials.
  • Maintain criminal background check and drug screen records for corporate associates.
  • Update and maintain employee information in the HR information system (HRIS), including scanning and organizing employment documents in electronic personnel files.
  • Route inquiries appropriately, respond to basic inquiries, and direct general questions to the appropriate departments.
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs, including reminders, award ordering, and celebratory announcements.
  • Assist with company recognition initiatives, including SHG Values Champion and SHG MVP programs.
  • Actively participate in HR meetings, track weekly HR accomplishments and priorities, and assist with monitoring monthly HR objectives.
  • Provide support for HR projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
