Altour is looking for a dynamic Corporate Travel Agent with Group Air experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced team to work in our rapidly growing group air division. The ideal candidate will have experience in block space and negotiating contract rates directly with airlines and be able to book reservations for meeting/group travel within the specifications outlined for each group project. This person will also have the opportunity to travel onsite with clients when asked. This is a remote position working 9 - 6 PM EST.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years’ travel experience in group bookings.
  • Expert agent skills in Sabre
  • Creating PNRs
  • Booking flights
  • Pricing
  • Handling exchanges
  • Expert knowledge in working with the airlines and booking/contracting block space
  • Exceptional/above & beyond, proactive customer service approach.
  • Excellent travel industry knowledge.
  • Experienced handling of multiple accounts.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to embrace change; adaptable.

Responsibilities

  • Service inbound and/or emails from customers arranging group travel.
  • Develop reservations consistent with the customer’s needs and within the specifications of the unique meeting/group profile.
  • Exercise due diligence in seeking the lowest applicable fare using the GDS, Consolidator or block space with the airline.
  • Negotiate the block space with the airline on the client’s behalf.
  • Complete all reservations in an accurate and timely manner following meeting/group guidelines.
  • Deliver extraordinary customer service to all ALTOUR clients.
  • Greet all clients with enthusiasm.
  • Provide consultative service to travelers and travel arrangers throughout the booking process.
