About The Position

The Corporate Engagement Manager (CEM) is a results-driven fundraising professional responsible for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a high-value corporate partner portfolio and serves as the primary driver of financial revenue from sponsorships and contributions within their assigned companies. This role is expected to raise a minimum of $350,000 annually. The CEM leads the execution of the fundraising and external communications plan for the high-profile campaigns. This role also manages the Community Engagement Coordinator and implements the overall corporate partnership strategy, focusing on expanding the mid-to-high-tier corporate pipeline and securing 5-6 figure gifts. The ideal candidate is creative, responsive, and driven, thriving in a fast-paced environment where building deep, genuine relationships is key to financial success.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in non-profit fundraising or corporate relations, with a proven track record of securing corporate sponsorships.
  • Experience using the moves management fundraising methodology.
  • Outstanding written and oral communicator with above-average interpersonal skills, comfortable leading meetings and presenting to corporate executives.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects while thinking strategically about future efforts.
  • Commitment to the organization's mission and its values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading complex fundraising campaigns is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing at least one direct report is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for raising a minimum of $350,000 annually in corporate contributions and sponsorships.
  • Manage a dedicated corporate portfolio of 30 companies, with a goal of engaging at least 10 new partners in the first year.
  • Lead the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of all assigned partners, with a primary focus on proactive cultivation to build strong relationships that ensure the organization is in an optimal position to make a successful financial ask.
  • Execute and refine the corporate engagement system by identifying new sources of support, proactively seeking opportunities to generate new partnerships based on mutual values, and maintaining strong communication ties with corporate donors and prospects.
  • Write compelling proposals and track individual goals for each partner based on their history of giving, capacity, interests, and needs.
  • Implement initiatives to strengthen and evolve new and existing corporate relationships, ensuring activities result in securing funding for the immediate and long-term goals and priorities of the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Director in assigning corporate portfolio members to the Corporate Engagement Committee and other key staff for advanced cultivation.
  • Plan and execute donor cultivation events and corporate employee engagement service opportunities.
  • Directly manage, coach, and develop the Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC), providing ongoing feedback, performance management, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Serve as the overall campaign leader, driving the annual strategy, goal-setting, and execution of the fundraising and communications components for the high-profile campaigns.
  • Delegate and manage the CEC's execution of all internal logistics, inventory management, and distribution for the Home for the Holidays Campaign, Back to School Drive and Welcome Home Baskets programs, ensuring seamless program delivery.
  • Hold the CEC accountable for successful and timely execution of campaign deliverables and program-specific in-kind support.
  • Coordinate and lead strategic corporate engagement service opportunities that align opportunities with program needs.
  • Educate and train internal staff on how to effectively engage and steward corporate volunteers.
  • Manage the Quarterly corporate engagement newsletter, ensuring consistent and high-quality communication to partners.
  • Collaborate between the Corporate and Volunteer Engagement, Institutional Giving, and Individual Giving & Engagement teams to identify corporate fundraising prospects and develop unified engagement strategies.
