About The Position

The Corporate Director of Clinical Programs is responsible for the design, development, packaging, implementation, and performance management of enterprise-wide clinical programs across the hospital portfolio. This role drives disease-specific, accreditation-recognized (e.g., TJC), and market-responsive clinical programs built around formal protocols, measurable outcomes, and clear value propositions—not limited to certification-based programs. The Director serves as the central architect and translator between corporate strategy and hospital execution, ensuring programs are clinically sound, operationally feasible, market-aligned, and positioned for growth, quality, and differentiation. This role requires a strong clinical background, enterprise mindset, and the ability to operationalize complex clinical concepts into repeatable, scalable toolkits that hospitals can deploy consistently.

Requirements

  • Active or prior clinical background (e.g., RN, PT, OT, SLP, RT, NP, PA, MD, or similar clinical discipline).
  • Progressive experience in clinical program development, service line leadership, or system-level clinical operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate clinical practice into standardized, scalable programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience across multiple hospitals or sites in a system or network.
  • Familiarity with TJC programs, disease-specific certification, or similar frameworks (not limited to certification-focused roles).
  • Experience partnering with marketing, strategy, or business development teams.
  • Master’s degree in a clinical, healthcare administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and standardization of clinical programs across disease states, service lines, and patient populations.
  • Develop programs that may include, but are not limited to: TJC-recognized and disease-specific programs, Protocol-driven care pathways, Population-specific programs aligned with referral and market demand
  • Ensure all programs are built on: Evidence-based clinical protocols, Defined inclusion/exclusion criteria, Clear clinical and operational workflows
  • Translate clinical programs into clear, turnkey implementation packages for hospitals, including: -Program overview and value proposition -Clinical protocols and pathways -Staffing, training, and competency requirements -Operational workflows and escalation models
  • Create rollout frameworks that allow hospitals to adopt programs with minimal ambiguity and variation.
  • Partner with hospital leadership to guide phased or pilot implementations where appropriate.
  • Analyze patient populations, referral patterns, and market needs to: Identify which programs should be launched where, Prioritize high-impact opportunities by market and hospital, Partner with growth, strategy, and operations teams to ensure programs align with hospital goals.
  • Define standardized success metrics for each program, including Clinical outcomes, Volume growth and case mix, Length of stay and throughput impact, Quality, safety, and patient experience measures
  • Ensure hospitals understand how to measure, track, and report program performance.
  • Use performance data to refine programs and support enterprise scaling decisions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and business development to Translate clinical outcomes into clear, compliant marketing messages, Ensure hospitals understand how to position programs externally to physicians, payers, and the community, Support hospitals in articulating clinical differentiation and outcomes without overstating certification status.
