This position will provide legal counsel, guidance and education to Company management and personnel worldwide, ensuring the Company operates effectively while managing risk and complying with legal obligations. This role requires a versatile in-house generalist who can advise on a wide range of legal matters impacting our global business units and corporate centers.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) with a minimum of 6 years legal experience, in-house legal department experience a plus
  • Licensed attorney in good standing in Ohio or a state that Ohio recognizes for its Corporate license
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong client service orientation and attention to detail
  • High aptitude for creative problem solving
  • Strong project management skills
  • Business acumen a plus

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the following areas is a plus: government contracts, intellectual property, working with international clients, manufacturing industry and foreign language skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, practical, and innovative legal counsel to business units and corporate functions to support the Company's objectives.
  • Interpret and apply laws and regulations across the jurisdictions in which the Company conducts business
  • Monitor evolving legal and regulatory trends, advise leadership on potential risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
  • Evaluate the need for legal training and design, implement and conduct training for Company employees as appropriate
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the Law Center by actively participating in its mission, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and building strong relationships across all levels of the Company
