About The Position

The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for a variety of research and legal matters, as well as supporting the business from a compliance standpoint. This role requires 100% onsite attendance in our Pontiac office.

Requirements

Bachelor's and Law Degree
1+ years of post-graduate experience
Experience performing legal research
Commitment to continuous business improvement
Capability of working closely with internal clients and outside counsel
Effective planning, organizational, and project management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and communication skills
Ability to work independently
Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and able to work well in a team-based environment

Responsibilities

Daily Administrative duties pertaining to the Legal/Compliance team
Reviewing, monitoring, and summarizing new and updated laws and regulations
Researching and analyzing law sources such as federal and state statutes and regulations
Supporting regulatory filings
Assisting with managing company policies and procedures
Assisting with Legal/Compliance trainings
Performing clerical duties such as scheduling meetings and composing and typing routine correspondence
Other duties as assigned
