About The Position

Likewize is searching for Corporate Counsel to join our team at our global Headquarters in Southlake, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for managing regulatory compliance within the Legal Department. This is an important role in the Legal Department and will collaborate across multiple business units within Likewize. Your day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to: Review of commercial agreements related to insurance products and assist with insurance and assist with insurance regulatory compliance. You will assist with the drafting of responses to Department of Insurance complaints, BBB complaints, and other regulatory matters. Assist the Compliance Team with licensing matters. Manage outside counsel. Research and monitor legislation and update internal and external parties on required changes. Draft and update service contracts and endorsements. Review marketing materials, including brochures, training, websites, emails, etc. Draft and update Policies & Procedures. Other responsibilities as needed within the Legal department. Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills and experience improving and streamlining processes.
  • Ability to easily switch between tasks and effectively manage many projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision but can also collaborate effectively within and across functions and build consensus.
  • Comfortable learning and working with various software and technology.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, strong sense of ownership and accountability and can manage competing expectations, prioritize effectively and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship nor or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Working experience in the insurance industry or service contract industry is preferred.
