About The Position

Alo is seeking a mid-level corporate attorney to support on a wide range of legal matters across the business, with a particular focus on technology software-as-a-service (SaaS) and data privacy compliance-related work. This position is a great opportunity for an individual interested in working on a broad array of commercial and corporate issues in a fast-paced, growing company. The position is an in-office role in Los Angeles.

Requirements

  • J.D. from a top tier law school and strong academic credentials
  • Admission to the California bar
  • Five to seven years of relevant transactional experience in big law and/or in-house
  • Experience negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS or other technology-related contracts
  • Working knowledge of data privacy and digital compliance frameworks
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Self-starter with ability to balance many projects simultaneously and complete tasks accurately, on schedule (often on tight deadlines) and with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage the full lifecycle of a variety of commercial contracts across the business, including technology, SaaS, AI and data-related agreements, logistics and supply chain contracts, professional services agreements, NDAs, statements of work, and other commercial agreements.
  • Work closely with legal support staff to ensure all contracts are properly executed, tracked and stored.
  • Work with the company’s information security, digital and e-commerce teams to ensure compliance with relevant data privacy, consumer protection, and related regulations.
  • Collaborate with relevant business teams to address legal issues related to international operations, cross-border vendor relationships, and global expansion.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel on jurisdiction-specific regulatory or contractual matters.
  • Collaborate with internal business teams to develop, implement, review, and maintain company policies and procedures to ensure they align with legal requirements and industry standards.
