About The Position

AlignOps is seeking an experienced and strategic Corporate Controller to lead and scale our accounting operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, internal controls, revenue recognition, and cash management activities. This includes producing periodic financial reports, maintaining an adequate system of accounting records, and establishing and strengthening controls designed to mitigate financial and operational risk. The Corporate Controller is also responsible for enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards. As AlignOps continues to scale, this is a high-impact role within a growing Finance team focused on building the infrastructure required to support a scaling SaaS organization. The Corporate Controller will play a critical role in strengthening financial rigor, enhancing systems and controls, and partnering closely with executive leadership to support the company’s next phase of growth. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a high-growth SaaS environment and enjoys building scalable processes, mentoring teams, and driving continuous improvement. The Corporate Controller will serve as a key partner to the CFO and executive leadership team, ensuring financial integrity, operational rigor, and audit readiness.

Requirements

  • A proven, successful leader with 10+ years of documented success, including 3–5+ years in a leadership role overseeing full-cycle accounting operations.
  • Professional experience reflects a progressive increase in responsibility, preferably within a SaaS or highly recurring Tech-Enabled Services environment.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
  • Demonstrated success leading accounting teams in high-growth environments.
  • Experience coordinating external audits and managing financial reporting processes.
  • High integrity, strong ownership mindset, and a hands-on leadership approach.
  • Proven experience managing receivables, payables, payroll and general ledger functions.
  • Experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software vendors; advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software.
  • Commitment to recruiting, mentoring, training, and retaining a diverse team; the foresight and ability to delegate accordingly.
  • Keen analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills, which allow for strategic data interpretation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board, or other outside partners.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Accelerate and optimize the month-end close process while improving accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain and enforce documented accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Lead technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, including subscription revenue, professional services, deferred revenue, and contract modifications, and related contract review controls.
  • Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations teams to ensure accurate billing structures and contract compliance.
  • Monitor key SaaS metrics impacting financial reporting, including ARR, MRR, churn, and deferred revenue trends.
  • Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable team with full responsibility for billing, collections, and cash application.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing aligned with customer contracts.
  • Monitor AR performance metrics, including DSO and aging trends.
  • Implement proactive collection strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt exposure.
  • Ensure accounts payable processes are efficient, compliant, and optimized for working capital management.
  • Oversee payroll and benefits processing, ensuring compliance with HR policies and federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Support the CFO in the annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecast process.
  • Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational performance improvements.
  • Manage external audit relationships and ensure audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax and business filing requirements.
  • Strengthen internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risk.
  • Support due diligence efforts related to financing events, acquisitions, or strategic initiatives as needed.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize accounting systems and financial tools to scale with company growth.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives across accounting workflows.
  • Partner cross-functionally to improve data integrity and financial transparency.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team.
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities while fostering accountability and professional growth.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned

Benefits

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$200,000. This role is bonus-eligible, with bonus opportunity based on individual and company performance.
