About The Position

The Senior Manager, Regional Communications plays a critical role in shaping PepsiCo’s reputation across priority U.S. markets. This role leads and executes external and internal communications programming aligned to business priorities across PepsiCo’s food and beverage business in the Northeast, Atlantic and Southeast regions, partnering closely with cross-functional teams, regional business leaders, and Communications Centers of Excellence (COEs). Through proactive storytelling, strategic counsel, and issues/crisis support, the Senior Manager ensures regional narratives ladder up to enterprise and brand goals while elevating local teams and driving measurable impact.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of communications experience; internal and external experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Deep expertise in local media landscapes, including proven experience pitching and placing stories with regional outlets, navigating local news cycles, and tailoring narratives for diverse regional audiences and media environments.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading complex, multi‑workstream communications efforts from start to finish.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a communications business partner for senior leaders within your regional footprint, ensuring alignment of messaging, strategy, and visibility plans.
  • Drive strong local media visibility, serving as the regional expert on local news, key outlets, and market‑specific storytelling opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with local journalists to secure high‑quality coverage that supports brand, commercial, and community priorities.
  • Act as key liaison to work efficiently with Global and North America COE teams to meet regional communications needs while supporting global business and communications priorities.
  • Partner with local business teams to storymine and amplify stories through an evergreen newsroom approach.
  • Develop compelling written and multi-media content—including talking points, media materials, internal messages, leader communications, and storytelling assets.
  • Collaborate with Regional Marketing and Commercial teams to identify newsworthy activations and extend reach of campaigns through 360 communications across earned, social, regional media outreach, influencers, and local partnerships.
  • Support regional crisis communications and issues management alongside Global Crisis and Issues COE, ensuring readiness, alignment, and rapid response.
  • Support regional transformation initiatives through clear, consistent employee communications, helping teams understand changes, adopt new processes, and stay engaged throughout organizational shifts.
