About The Position

The Corporate Benefit Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration of health and welfare programs to each entity within The Adam Corporation/Group, including American Momentum Bank. Duties include advising employees, answering questions, resolving issues, and facilitating benefit enrollments. In addition, the Senior Corporate Benefits Specialist will serve as the main facilitator to external providers and consultants to ensure the ongoing accuracy and success of the health and welfare plan operations. This position reports to the Corporate HR Director.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience working in a face-paced, dynamic environment with constant change due to servicing multiple entities
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and consistently meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s Degree desired with combined total of 6+ years’ experience in health and welfare benefits administration or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct annual open enrollment
  • Produce annual census for insurance rating
  • Review renewal information provided by broker for premium adjustments, plan changes and assist with recommendations to executive management
  • Implement premium rate and/or plan changes within ADP Workforce Now prior to employee self-service enrollment, if applicable
  • Prepare Benefit Enrollment Guide
  • Collect manual enrollments and enter all changes and approves online enrollments
  • Review and process timely and accurate benefit enrollments within ADP Workforce Now for new hires, terminations and qualifying life events with proper supporting documentation
  • Monitor integration files processing with third party vendors
  • Verify accuracy of vacation and sick leave accruals and approve transactions as needed
  • Administer 401K enrollments, employee loans, employee distributions, compliance testing, Form 5500 filing, etc.
  • Administer COBRA notifications
  • Serve as the first point of contact for notification of a work-related injury or illness
  • Administer employee Family Medical Leave Requests
  • Serve as the main point of contact for employee or manager questions as it relates to benefit programs
  • Update employee manuals and forms, as needed
  • Prepare customized benefit related reporting and monthly insurance billings
  • Reviews and initiates a high volume of benefit related check requests
  • Assist with workers’ compensation and unemployment claims as needed
  • Administer annual merit review process, and assist the Senior Corporate Payroll Specialist with administration and pay rate changes for all affiliated entities
  • Assists with recruiting by posting open positions, screening employment applications, ordering background checks and drug screens, and processing new hires
  • Assist HR Director with special projects
  • Provide back-up and/or support for select responsibilities of the Corporate Payroll Administrator
