About The Position

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global Am Law 100 law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for an Associate to join its Denver office’s Health Care Practice Group. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on sophisticated transactional matters for private equity and other financial sponsor clients, alongside a collaborative, nationally recognized team. The Associate will play an active role in structuring, negotiating, and executing complex transactions and will have meaningful client contact. The position provides exposure to clients across a variety of industries, with a particular emphasis on health care and other heavily regulated industries.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidates should have 3 – 4 years of experience working with private equity funds, independent sponsors, portfolio companies and founder owned businesses in connection with M&A transactions and day-to-day corporate matters.
  • Candidates should possess a strong academic background and superior drafting skills and must be diligent, detail-oriented, proactive, team-oriented, and personable.
  • Candidates must be admitted to the Colorado Bar and should be willing to participate in community and professional organizations as part of professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating transaction documents for M&A transactions
  • Preparing and negotiating governing documents, including bylaws, operating agreements, and partnership agreements
  • Managing key aspects of transactions with increasing independence, including coordinating due diligence and supervising junior attorneys
  • Working directly with clients and collaborating effectively within deal teams
