About The Position

The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the debt, investments, FX reporting, and legal entity accounting processes, as well as ensuring all governmental filings as it relates to areas of responsibility (e.g., Securities and Exchange Commission [SEC] forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.) are completed in an efficient and timely manner. He/She assists in researching and documenting the appropriate accounting treatment of transactions based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position directs specialists and supervisors and partners closely with Treasury, Tax, External Reporting, and Internal Audit. The manager is accountable for monthly, quarterly and annual close execution, internal control discipline, and development of team capabilities while driving consistent, high‑quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including legal entity or corporate accounting
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and close processes
  • Experience partnering with Treasury, Tax, External Reporting, or auditors
  • Strong technical accounting and review capabilities
  • People leadership and coaching skills
  • Clear, concise communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a close‑driven environment
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Responsibilities

  • Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities for assigned legal entities and related processes.
  • Oversee accounting for routine and non‑routine legal entity transactions, including capital contributions, dividends, dissolutions, and intercompany activity.
  • Ensure accurate application of US GAAP and adherence to internal accounting policies.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses prepared by the team.
  • Provide managerial oversight for FX accounting activities, including remeasurement, translation, and related close deliverables.
  • Oversee debt accounting processes, including interest expense, budgets, forecasts, and supporting schedules.
  • Coordinate accounting for corporate activities and investments as applicable to the Legal Entity Accounting scope.
  • Ensure consistent execution and issue resolution across FX, debt, and corporate activity processes.
  • Ensure timely execution, review, and certification of SOX controls.
  • Maintain audit‑ready documentation and support internal and external audit requests.
  • Identify control gaps, assess risks, and drive timely remediation in partnership with leadership.
  • Reinforce strong control awareness and documentation discipline across the team.
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and specialist.
  • Set clear expectations for ownership, quality, and timeliness of work.
  • Support coverage planning, cross‑training, and knowledge transfer to reduce key‑person risk.
  • Conduct performance management activities, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
  • Serve as a key accounting partner to Treasurer, Tax, External Reporting and FP&A.
  • Communicate accounting implications, risks, and timelines proactively.
  • Escalate complex issues with well‑supported analysis and recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve legal entity accounting processes.
  • Partner with teams to reduce manual effort and spreadsheet dependency.
  • Support documentation standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
