Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Accounting Governance Manager within the Corporate Accounting organization located in Wilmington, DE. This role is responsible for leading the governance of finance master data and Delegation of Authority (DOA) frameworks across the enterprise. The position ensures integrity, consistency, and control of financial data and authorization structures, enabling accurate financial reporting, and effective decision-making. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this role interacts with the VP Controller on a regular basis and partners closely with Corporate Accounting, IT, Finance FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit, and business leaders to establish governance frameworks, drive process standardization, and support ongoing transformation initiatives across financial systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in accounting, finance, financial systems, or data governance.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with SAP (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC, Central Finance, or similar ERP environments).
  • Demonstrated experience in governance, policy development, or control frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Lead the governance and oversight of finance master data across enterprise financial systems, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and alignment with corporate standards.
  • Own and maintain the company’s Delegation of Authority (DOA) framework, including policy design, approval structures, and alignment with organizational changes.
  • Establish and enforce governance processes for finance data, including data standards, lifecycle management, and change controls.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support system implementations, integrations, and transformation initiatives impacting financial data and approval workflows.
  • Oversee accounting period governance, including policies and controls related to period open/close processes.
  • Provide strategic direction and decision support on complex data, system, and governance-related issues.
  • Monitor and improve data quality by identifying root causes, implementing controls, and driving remediation efforts.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Finance and IT to ensure alignment of system design, data structures, and governance requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring appropriate documentation, controls, and compliance with governance policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, transparency, and control across finance data and governance processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on finance master data governance and Delegation of Authority.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members and business partners on governance policies, processes, and system capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and Finance leadership to align governance practices with financial reporting requirements.
  • Support organizational changes by ensuring appropriate updates to master data and authorization frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and communication plans related to governance processes.
  • Influence and drive adoption of governance standards across global teams.
