About The Position

The Accounting Business Coordinator (ABC) will be employed within the Finance and Accounting Department of Glacier Bancorp, Inc. The ABC will support the Department in achieving its goals by successfully managing projects, providing oversight of accounting policies and procedures, tracking progress of accounting activities, and performing accounting duties along with administrative support. The ABC will regularly prepare and distribute project status reports to the Finance and Accounting Department Managers to ensure timely completion. Utilizing their accounting and business knowledge, the ABC will provide insight and recommendations throughout the projects for successful completion. This position will be considered a representative of the Finance and Accounting Department to all levels of the Company and be actively involved in assisting in project management for Bank Acquisitions. Professionalism and diplomacy to gain trust is critical to the success of the position. A successful candidate will build and continually develop relationships across the Company as well as vendors to increase the effectiveness and compliance with the Accounting processes. This is a Corporate position that is located in Kalispell, MT. The entry-rate for this position is $21.83 + /hour (calculated for Kalispell, MT). Click here to learn more about our bank divisions. Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 3 years Bookkeeping, General Accounting or Banking experience
  • Advanced Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Employee must be trustworthy and possess a significant level of credibility, discretion, and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, multitask and prioritize duties to meet deadlines.
  • Employee must be capable of interacting calmly and professionally with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds at various levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Employee must be a team player with a passion for customer service and a proven ability to build rapport and work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Occasional travel required: (less than 10 days per year) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.

  • Moderate noise; not extreme or excessive; within reasonable limits.
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Responsibilities

  • Project Support: Apply project administrative skills and control techniques to provide support through the project lifecycle. Assist in execution of plans and coordinate with team members to complete the project according to scope, on time, and within budget. Communicate with project team members regularly through team meetings, documented minutes, and weekly status reports. Manage and update changes to project documentation. Identify, communicate and administer issues or risks and support impacted areas to reach a resolution.
  • Accounting Support: Provide accounting support or backup for various department activities including but not limited to reconciliations, research, daily accounting functions, tax filing support, special projects, annual/quarterly/monthly activities, etc.
  • Administrative: Provide administrative support including organizing meetings, managing intranet department site, managing department documents, printing and distributing reports, etc.
  • Bank Acquisitions: Support the Department Supervisors/Managers through the bank acquisition process including the documentation process, conversion and acquisition accounting process, maintaining timelines, reporting progress, etc.
  • Training: Provide recommendations and support for training activities within the Department.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
